Immensely popular in previous years, the Deloitte/Management Top 200 Awards honours acts of courage, integrity and social vision; acts by companies and organisations who understand that there is more to good business practice than the next quarter's bottom line.
The Award salutes a company or organisation that has made, through a particualr practice, an outstanding contribution to ethical and sustainable business practice.
Leading New Zealand companies or organisations will be assessed in terms of their ability to demonstrate a clear purpose behind any individual practice; that the principles behind the practice have been thought through, and that there has been effective performance measurement for the practice.
While the award is made for a practice, nominations will be strengthened by an organisation's recognition of business ethics and sustainable development in its statement of purpose and principles.
Ethical performance measurement systems, such as ethical accounting and sustainable development reporting, will strengthen nominations.
